     p r o f i l e
<   With over thirty years experience in the graphic design
industry, I have worked with clients in the retail and media
sector to the corporate fields of the industry specializing in
the creation of logos and corporate identity packages,
printed collateral, and web site design.

I studied at Salisbury College of Art between 1977 and 1980
where I was head hunted, and offered my first post in the
industry at Thames TV prior to my graduation, returning to
take my final assessment gaining a distinction in graphic
design, and becoming a member of SIAD (Society of Industrial
Artistic & Designers).

This first job led on to what was to become a 10 year career
in a variety of award-winning design and advertising agencies
in the London area working with clients such as: Hornby,
Scalextric, Warner’s, Butlins, Roger & Gallet, Boots No 7,
Mars, Thomson Holidays, Duracell, Tefal, Bass Charrington,
Durex
& The Walt Disney Corporation.

It was whilst working for Disney I set up my own design business
here in the Salisbury area in the late 1990’s. At the same time I
became one of only a few designated licensed studios to produce
Disney related artwork for UK licence holders for clients such as
Marks & Spencer, Woolworths & WH Smith.

With an additional interest in fine art I continued to paint,
and illustrate childrens' books for Scholastic Publications, along
with holding a variety of exhibitions of my work. I continued to
work commercially for a further 10 years with the addition of a
small commercial printing business eventually merging with
another design and printing company in Salisbury.

<   Now working again on a full time basis for a large print & media
corporation, I continued to service a small freelance client base
which included all aspects of creative design, with the addition of
commercial photography. With a wide and varied client base from
small local businesses to national and European clients,
I handled the creative design, artwork and print fulfilment
for Ottakar's Bookstores, with over 400 stores throughout the British
Isles covering all forms of POS material, and working closely with the
major book publishers.
Other clients here included: The House of Commons, Domino's Pizza,
Goldsmith's College, Tate Modern, David Hockney, Hotel Du Vin,

& Delloits, to name but a few.

I now continue to work on a freelance basis here in Salisbury, offering
a full creative design service, delivering both creative and high quality
design solutions at competative rates, coordinating all aspects of a
clients project from concept through to the supply of photography,
copywriting, web design and print.
